Where do I do my 4x4 Training?
Immerse yourself in authentic South African bushveld at our 4x4 training venue at the renowned Hennops off-road trail. This location provides a true bush experience that transports you far away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Surrounded by the beauty of the bush, our 4x4 training course offers a unique setting where you can encounter a variety of indigenous wildlife. Keep your eyes peeled for majestic creatures such as Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Kudu, Impala, and the elusive black-backed Jackal, adding an extra touch of charm to your experience. It truly is a premier destination for off-road training in Gauteng.
Our 4x4 adventure begins at the heart of the trail, where we gather in a boma-styled classroom which serves as the backdrop for the theory portion of your 4x4 course. Here, we delve into the essential knowledge and principles that will guide you through your off-road journey.
Once the theory is complete, we embark on an exhilarating journey through our specially designed off-road trail. This trail replicates the diverse terrains you may encounter throughout Southern Africa, ensuring that you are well-prepared for any off-road situation you may face during your adventures in the great South African outdoors.
So What Will I Learn?
Our 4x4 course commences with a theoretical session that comprehensively covers the fundamentals of off-road driving and vehicle knowledge. Rather than extensively dwelling on theory, we prioritise hands-on experience, as we believe it is more effective. Once you grasp the theoretical aspects, we proceed to the off-road trail where you will actively navigate your vehicle through diverse off-road obstacles, all within a practical teaching environment.
From navigating challenging terrain to tackling obstacles, our experienced instructors will provide you with the skills and techniques necessary to handle various off-road scenarios confidently. With our comprehensive 4x4 training program, you'll gain the knowledge and expertise needed to conquer the rugged landscapes and enjoy unforgettable off-road experiences in South Africa.

You’ve never driven your 4x4 vehicle off-road before

Group Introductory 4x4 Training:
The group 4x4 driver training commences at 9 am and typically concludes around 3 pm with a maximum group size of 10 vehicles.
The off-road course takes place at the renowned Hennops Off-road Trail. The fee for the driver is R1399-00. A supplementary charge of R375-00 per person is applicable for all passengers. If there are additional drivers who wish to obtain a 4x4 training certificate and will share the vehicle, they will be charged R795-00 per person.
Children under 16 years old will be charged R150 per child, while we regretfully cannot accommodate children under 10.
Both drivers and co-drivers will be granted an off-road driving certificate of competency.
1-on-1 Introductory 4x4 Training:
Our 1-on-1 4x4 driving course is exclusively available upon request, with the training dates tailored to your preference. The training course will be conducted at the Hennops Off-road Trail.
The cost for this comprehensive 4x4 training, including the driver and co-driver, is R3795-00. This individualised training ensures that you get the most out of the day. Please note that the training is only available on weekdays from 10h00 to 15h00.
Additional passengers will be charged R375-00 per person, while children under 16 years old will be charged R150-00. Children under 10 are not permitted.
Both drivers and co-drivers will receive an off-road driving certificate of competency.
How Do I Book My 4x4 Training?
Now that you have made the decision to participate in one of SA Adventure’s 4x4 training courses, you can choose between group training or a personalised 1-on-1 session that suits your preferences. All the available dates for group 4x4 driver training can be found on the booking form, and you can schedule a 1-on-1 session through our online booking system. After we have received your completed booking form and payment, a confirmation email will be sent to you, providing all the necessary details for your 4x4 course.
If you are purchasing a training course as a gift for someone, please indicate on the booking form if you would like us to email you a gift voucher. It is important to note that the training course will be conducted using your own vehicle. Additionally, we encourage you to read our client’s testimonials about the experiences they had on their off-road training day.
