The Karoo has many secrets to share, but she keeps those secrets close to her heart. It’s only when we slow down, quite the raging thoughts and take in the primordial landscapes, and gravel roads; that she starts to whisper.
Spend enough time in the Karoo and the whisper becomes an audible conversation - and then finally a call when you leave her for too long. Anyone who has slowed down, taken some time to turn off of the N1, took a few deep Karoo air breaths, and visited one of the magical little towns - that’s tucked away between fridges of dolerite rock, and flat-topped mesas - will know what we mean when we say: “The Karoo is calling”
